Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, and that’s completely normal. Here’s a glimpse of what you can expect from our first contact through your first session

After you fill out the contact form, you’ll receive an email within 24 business hours inviting you to schedule a brief consultation call. During this call, we’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, answer any questions you may have, and look at scheduling options for your first session. If you decide it’s not the right time, that’s completely okay—reach out again whenever you’re ready.

Once we schedule your appointment, you’ll receive an email with a link to create your TherapyPortal login. There, you’ll find the forms we’ll need before your first session. Closer to your appointment, you’ll get a reminder via text or email, along with a secure Telehealth link for our session. You can also access this through the client portal button on the website. Our Telehealth platform is fully HIPAA-compliant and ensures your privacy.

During our first session, we’ll review your paperwork briefly and begin exploring your story—what led you to seek therapy and what you hope to gain from our work together. Sometimes this conversation takes the whole session, and that’s perfectly fine. Together, we’ll also start shaping a treatment plan that includes your goals and how we’ll measure progress along the way.

Our goal is to make this process clear, relaxed, and easy to navigate. You can expect an approach that’s direct yet kind, supportive, and down-to-earth. This space is yours—a place where you’re invited to feel seen, known, and valued. Nothing you share is too big, too messy, or too much.

If you have additional questions, you’re welcome to include them in the contact form. We’re happy to answer them by email, over the phone, or in session. Thank you for trusting us with your story—it’s an honor to walk alongside you in this journey toward healing and growth.
